RESIDENCE HALLS AT SAINT LEO
Saint Leo University considers the residence experience to be an integral aspect of our students' holistic education and personal development. Given this philosophy, all full-time University College students (12 or more credit hours) are required to live on campus.
We are intentional in not providing a "dorm" or "dormitory" experience at Saint Leo University. A "dormitory" is building where students sleep. We are proud to provide residence halls -intentional communities where residents can not only sleep, but study, play, and create a true home for the nine months of the year they live here.
First year students live in "community style halls." Community style is the most traditional style of residential living with double rooms lining both sides of the hallway corridor and residents sharing communal restroom facilities located within the hallway. We find this style builds strong relationships and friendships that will last students through the remainder of their college career. First year students live in Marmion, Snyder, Henderson,Benoit or Alumni Hall. Students with specific roommate or housing preferences not marked in their annual housing agreement must submit those requests in writing prior to July 1. Requests can be submitted via e-mail to firstname.lastname@example.org.
Upper-class students select rooms through a lottery system based on credit hours and class standing in March. Upper-class transfer students are placed into available spaces during the summer. Options for upper-class student living include suites with four private rooms sharing a living room and two bathrooms (Roderick, Apartments 5 & 6), apartment singles and doubles sharing living rooms and bathrooms with efficiency or full kitchens (Apartments 1, 2, 3 or 4) and the East Campus Apartments. The East Campus apartments consist of two double rooms, each with their own bathroom, sharing a living room, dining room, full kitchen and private washer/dryer -these apartments are located in Dade City; and students assigned to East Campus must have their own transportation.
Any students with housing accommodation requests related to medical issues and/or disabilities must be approved through the Office of Accessibility Services at http://www.saintleo.edu/resources/accessibility-services. The deadline for housing accomodation requests is July 1.
